Updating the firmware might be necessary due to new released firmware revisions (new features, instrument improvements) or after replacing the electronic board (repair) that houses the EEPROM.
The Agilent Instrument Utilities Software can update the firmware for most GC, LC or CE instruments detected on the network, including associated devices such as samplers.
- Download the desired firmware for your instrument type (see instrument list below).
- Unzip the downloaded firmware file(s).
- Install the Agilent Instrument Utilities Software and start the program.
- Click Firmware Update in the left navigation pane. (For details, refer to the help links available in the software.)
- Connect to the instrument.
- For GC: In the table for for the desired instrument or module, click Add. Browse to and select the files unzipped in step 2.
For LC and CE: Click Change folder. Browse to and select the files unzipped in step 2.
- The new firmware version will now appear in the Available drop-down list.
To update firmware, follow the procedures described in the Instrument Utility help.
