Please note: G2938A-type Bioanalyzer instruments are not supported by the Agilent 2100 Expert Software rev. B.02.07.
Please note that installing the latest Agilent 2100 Expert Software version will overwrite any existing installation of Expert Software. If you have valid licenses for the newest software, please make sure you have them available during the setup process. You can find existing licenses for your current Agilent 2100 Expert Software under Help\Registration. To operate one or two Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer instruments from one PC, the following licenses are required:
- Instrument control license valid for B.02.xx
- Electrophoresis or flow cytometry license (one or both)
- Security pack license (optional)

Patch for 2100 Expert Software B.02.07 (May 2009)
This software patch corrects for known issues with the Agilent 2100 Expert Software B.02.07 (May 2009 only):
- Failure when executing high voltage tests
- Missing index and search functionality of the helpdesk.
This patch can only be installed on PCs already running the Agilent 2100 Expert Software B.02.07 (May 2009). So first check your 2100 Expert Software installation in the information box "About 2100 Expert...." from the Help menu:
- "2100 Expert B.02.07 SI532 (Patch 01)" - the update is already installed
- "2100 Expert B.02.07 SI532" - the update needs to be installed.

Driver for USB to Serial Adapter Cable
For Expert Software Rev. B02.07 and higher
To connect an Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer to a PC that has no serial port, a special USB serial adapter (Agilent Part Number 8121-1013) has to be added between the serial 2100 Bioanalyzer connection cable and the PC USB port (Instrument > Serial Cable > USB Adapter Cable > PC). A USB driver is required for the adapter, which can be downloaded below. The driver is also available on the Expert Software CD (version B.02.06 and higher) in the directory “Support”.
Note : Only the connection of adapter cable 8121-1013 with the 2100 RS232 serial cable, plus the special USB driver guarantees full functionality with the 2100 Bioanalyzer.
