Retention Time Locking 

Retention time locking (RTL) revolutionizes gas chromatography. With RTL, you can reproduce retention times within hundredths, even thousandths, of a minute from one Agilent GC system to another. Results are virtually identical, regardless of operator, location, inlet, or detector (including MSDs). This technique is an easy way to increase sample throughput and have greater confidence in your results. All you need is RTL software (included with the MSD Productivity ChemStation), an Agilent EPC-equipped 7890A, 6890, or 6850, or an Agilent 5973 or 5975 GC/MSD system, and the Agilent ChemStation for GC or MSD Productivity ChemStation.
