The LC/GC ChemStation Software:
Now available in Chinese!

A user interface, on-line help and documentation – all in your own language – can help you increase your laboratory’s productivity in some very important ways. It lets you train analysts more quickly. Then it lets analysts work independently to get information they need to run samples, review data and report results.
Customers worldwide have been using Agilent’s LC/GC ChemStation software in English and Japanese for many years. But this valuable tool has not been available in Chinese, and requests for Chinese language support have been increasing. Even China’s government talked of the importance of Chinese language software products. Agilent took this guidance very seriously, and introduced a Chinese version of the 32-Bit ChemStation in January.
Providing a high quality Chinese translation is critical to the usefulness of this software. Agilent worked with internal specialists and Chinese customers to create a valuable, localized product. Our objective was to help analysts to appreciate the software’s many functions and learn to make the most of them.
Prior to January, Cerity NDS for Chemical QA/QC was the only Agilent software product available in Chinese. Now, the addition of the 32-Bit ChemStation lets laboratories run both LCs and GCs within the same user interface. The Chinese ChemStation can be used by environmental, food safety, chemical, forensics and pharmaceutical laboratories in either research and development or routine environments. This flexibility has made the ChemStation a standard in the analytical industry. Its popularity means laboratories will find there is a large network of knowledgeable users, making the hiring of qualified analysts a simple task.
Agilent plans to continue to improve the Chinese version of ChemStation. Future releases will expand the localized capabilities of this product. ChemStation, like all Agilent products, is designed to be used for many years. So you can count on us to provide the upgrades needed to keep your laboratory up to date.

Important Information Regarding the 32-Bit Chinese ChemStation
The Chinese ChemStation Revision B.01.01C release supports 2-dimensional 1100 LC (G2170BA) and 6890N GC (G2070BA) instruments using LAN communication.
The supported GC and LC modules are found in the Table below. Custom reports
are also available in Chinese. With this new software release, you can run an
LC and a GC from a single workstation.

The minimum PC requirements for the 32-Bit Chinese ChemStation are:
A PC with an Intel Pentium IV processor, (1.5 GHz or greater), 20 GB hard disk (600 MB free disk space), graphics card and monitor with 1024 X768 resolution display, 16k colors or better, CD-ROM and 256 MB of RAM. Microsoft Windows® XP® Professional with Service Pack 2 (1a minimum) is required.
