Agilent provides a variety of analyzers for the determination of the calorific value of natural gas. To help you decide which is a better fit for your needs, please read on.
The Agilent 3000 Natural Gas Analyzer (NGA) is based on the Agilent 3000 Micro GC. You should consider this platform if you need any of the following:
- Accurate, reproducible results in less than two minutes.
- Routine measurement of fixed gases, C1-C5 hydrocarbons from ppm to high percent, and C6-C12 from ppm to low percent (optional sample conditioners allow analysis of LPG, high-calorific-content natural gas, and liquefied natural gas).
- At-line and field measurement. The 3000 NGA can be carried to the sample, rather than taking the sample to a laboratory for analysis.
- If you choose to use this in your laboratory, the small footprint saves valuable bench space.

We also provide turnkey and custom natural gas analyzers based on the industry-leading Agilent 7890A GC system. These offer the following benefits:
- Detailed analysis of natural gas and natural gas liquids using high-resolution capillary columns.
- Different types of detectors for a broad quantitation range of all species, including trace sulfur compounds such as odorants.
- Compatibility with hardware and software (Agilent ChemStation) platforms that you already own.
