This course is designed for those who want to enhance their skills in the techniques and software operation of the Agilent Q-TOF LC/MS. The course utilizes a lecture format with instrument laboratories that emphasize small molecule application workflows. Topics include tuning, acquisition, optimization, Worklists, MassHunter Qualitative and Quantitative software and hardware maintenance.

Prerequisites:

A basic liquid chromatography course such as Techniques of Modern HPLC (H1186A) or equivalent is required as well as 4 weeks of hands-on experience with your system. A basic understanding of mass spectrometry is expected.
Completion of the LC/MS Fundamentals CBT and review of the Familiarization Guide, Quick Start Guide and Concepts Guide provided at the time of install will ensure an understanding of basic fundamentals prior to attending (Download CBT)

Equipment: Agilent 6500 series Q-TOF LC/MS systems with MassHunter software. Laptops computers will be used for data analysis and reporting laboratory work. 
Student Profile: An analyst or chemist who has responsibility for operation and maintenance of the Agilent Q-TOF LC/MS for routine and non-routine applications with small molecules.
