This course is designed to introduce the student to the techniques necessary to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis using a quadrupole GC-MS system. This is a lecture-only course which emphasizes student participation through extensive class exercises focused on the total analysis of an unknown sample.

Student Profile: A student experienced in GC theory and practice but new to the use of a mass spectrometer as a GC detector.
