The GeneSpring plug-in allow GeneSpring 7 to read Affymetrix CHP files and CEL files with RMA and GC-RMA normalization. If you do not have GeneSpring 7, select "Update GeneSpring" from the GeneSpring Help menu.
If you already have GeneSpring 7.2, there is no need to add the plug-in.
The installer consists of a zip file that can be dragged onto an open GeneSpring 7 window and this will install all the appropriate files. Follow the procedure below to install the Plug-ins:
The source code for the plug-ins that accompany this release is licensed under the Lesser GNU Public License (LGPL). For more information about the LGPL see the LGPL website.
- Download the zip files: RMA Preprocessor Upgrades.zip
- Drag the zip file RMA Preprocessor Upgrades.zip onto an open window of GeneSpring, or use the File › Import GeneSpring Zip menu item.
- The following window will appear:
- Press "Yes" to continue to install
- It is possible that the following window will appear, although if this is the first installation of the plug-in you will not see this window
- Press "Yes" to continue
- The progress bar will appear indicating the installation is progressing
- When the installation is complete, the following window will appear
- Press "OK" to continue. GeneSpring will quit.
- Restart GeneSpring
