The HapMap Project has completed Phase I and Phase II of its genotyping project to provide more than 3.6 million SNP measurements for 270 individuals. Using GeneSpring GT, you can now further explore this genotyping data that comprises three populations – Asian (Tokyo Japanese + Han Chinese), Caucasian (Utah of Western European descent), and African (Yoruba, Nigeria).

Instructions for use:

  1. Click on the appropriate link in the table to download:
    1. An experiment for each chromosome in a population. Total of 72 experiments, one exp't for each chromosome (chromosomes 1 to 22, X, and Y).
    2. A Haplotype_map for each chromosome in a population, one experiment for each chromosome. The Y chromosome is excluded because the genotype data was insufficient to create Haplotype_maps.
    3. The complete collection of variation lists which include:
      - the variations (SNPs) on each chromosome that had genotype measurements across all individuals
      - the variations (SNPs) on each chromosome that were groups into haplotype blocks, organized by population. Y is not represented due to insufficient data
      - the variations (SNPs) on each chromosome that represent tag SNPs for a population. Y is not represented due to insufficient data
  2. Download file (file sizes are indicated).
  3. After downloading a file, drag and drop the file into the GeneSpring GT application window. The file appears as a data item in the experiments, Haplotype_maps, or Variation Lists navigator folder. Note that larger files will take longer to appear.
