GeneSpring MS 1.2.0 now released (15-Jan-08)
Please review the System Requirements before downloading the installer as it requires specific platform configurations for optimal performance, and the Software Revision Table describing version 1.2.0 enhancements.

GeneSpring MS GeneSpring MS requires a license key. Contact informatics_support@agilent.com to obtain the license key.
- Download the GeneSpringMS-1.2.0.345-win32.exe (210 MBytes).
a. To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run this program from its current location b. To copy the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save or Save this program to disk
- Follow the instructions on the screen for complete installation.
- After installation, Agilent Technologies technical support team will contact you and provide a license key.
NOTE: If any of the other required applications are not installed on the computer that is to run GeneSpring MS, follow the instructions below for their installation.
AMDIS If you would like to analyze GC/MS data with GeneSpring MS, AMDIS is a required application to convert the original RAW data files to files that GeneSpring can read (ELU/FIN files). Users of the Agilent GC/MS system do not need to install AMDIS since the GC/MS system comes with the AMDIS application.
- Download AMDIS32_FULLSETUP_263.exe (7.3 MBytes).

- Follow the instructions on the screen for complete installation.
mzXML Support If you would like to analyze mzXML files with GeneSpring MS, the original raw data files need to be converted to mzXML with any of the programs listed below. Each of the programs requires libraries from the original vendors in order to be able to convert the files. Agilent is not able to provide these libraries. Contact your vendor for more information on converting to mzXML files.
- mzStar (to convert ABI WIFF files to mzXML)
- Download mzStar from ProteomeCenter.org website.
mzStar requires ANALYST to be present on the same computer as mzStar.
- ReAdW (to convert ThermoFinnigan RAW files to mzXML)
- Download ReAdW from ProteomeCenter.org website.
ReAdW requires XCALIBUR to be present on the same computer as ReAdW, since it requires the XRawfile library.
- mzBruker or CompassXport (to covert Bruker files to mzXML)
- Download MzBruker from ProteomeCenter.org website and follow the instruction on this page.
MzBruker requires libraries from Bruker and need to be installed on the same computer as mzBruker.
- Download CompassXport from Bruker.com.
You can find CompassXport in the Library section under Downloads & Patches. In the Software section of Downloads & Patches you will find a folder marked "Compass" in which you can find the installer for CompassXport. (Bruker site registration required)
- MassWolf (to convert Waters files to mzXML)
- Download MassWolf from ProteomeCenter.org website and follow the instructions on this page.
MassWolf requires MassLynx to be present on the same computer as MassWolf.
