The Hi-Tech Scientific SFA-20 series is a set of stop-flow, rapid kinetics accessories. The SFA-20 has an empirical dead time of less than 8 ms, and when used with Cary spectrophotometers, it monitors reaction rates up to 100 s-1.

Available in three versions: The SFA-20M micro-volume version has a dead volume of just 350 µL per reagent for limited volume applications. The SFA-20mx multi-mixing version incorporates two mixers separated by a 10 µL delay loop for mixing two non-reactive reagents before introducing a third. The SFA-20mxM micro-volume, multi-mixing version combines the attributes of the SFA-20M and the SFA-20mx.
High precision, gas-tight syringes — Mounted on a rigid drive platform outside the thermostatically controlled sample circuit, the syringes stop the flow precisely and instantaneously.
Easy set-up for variable ratio mixing applications — Syringes are mounted outside the sample circuit, providing easy and rapid replacement.
Resistant to chemical attack — The platform, syringe mounting blocks, and thermostatted sample circuit are constructed from chemical-resistant materials to protect the instrument from spills.
Inert sample circuit — Reagents travel in the inert sample circuit through an umbilical cord to the flow cell containing a high-efficiency T-format mixer.
