Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 Stops Communication with GC 7890
Once the .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 patch from Microsoft is applied to the computer running EZChrom Elite, EZChrom Elite can no longer communicate with the GC 7890. This issue is for EZChrom Elite WorkStation, EZChrom Elite Client/Server and EZChrom SI.

Situation:
The Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 prevents communication with the Agilent GC 7890. The patch from Microsoft only affects communication with the 7890 and does not affect communication with any other instruments such as Agilent LCs.
This issue only affects EZChrom Elite 3.2.1. Earlier versions of EZChrom Elite are not affected by this patch from Microsoft.
Solution/Action:
Customers must not apply this patch from Microsoft on any computers running EZChrom Elite.
Agilent is working a patch for EZChrom Elite that will allow the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 to be applied to PCS running EZChrom Elite.
A new service note will be published when this patch is available.
