This instructional video shows the steps required to remove the Babington Nebulizer for the 7500 ICP-MS system. You need to clean the nebulizer and spray chamber if memory effects are observed after running high matrix samples, or when you need ultimate detection limits (ppt).
Tool and Supplies Required
The following are needed when cleaning the nebulizer.
Safety glasses
Protective laboratory gloves
5% Nitric Acid bath
Pure water (Pure water is defined here as having been generated using ion exchange and a membrane filter, and having an electrical resistance of over 18MΩ.)
