This instructional video demonstrates the steps to clean the extraction lens in  the  7500 ICP-MS system. 

The following items are needed to maintain the ion lenses:
Safety glasses
Waterproof sandpaper (#400 / #1200 grit, Agilent P/N G1833-65404)
Protective laboratory gloves
Allen wrench (3mm)
Allen wrench (4mm)
Jewel Driver (Phillips)
Phillips screwdriver
Tweezers
2% detergent solution
Alumina powder (Agilent P/N 8660-0791)
Pure water (Pure water is defined here as having been generated using ion exchange and a membrane filter, and having an electrical resistance of over 18MΩ.)
Methanol (HPLC Grade)
Cotton swabs (Agilent P/N 9300-2574)
Ultrasonic bath
Laboratory disposable lint free paper towels
Glass beaker (Large, small)
Plastic tray
Ohm meter
* Use clean tools and powder-free gloves that are resistant to organic solvents (methanol)
