KB000453: What are the Steps to Restore the Quick Qedit Compound List in QEDIT? - MS ChemStation 

First, try selecting the QEdit menu, and click on Restart Quick QEdit. If that fails to restore the list, exit QEdit and Data Analysis, then locate and delete these files: C:\temp\qedit1.ini and C:\winnt\qedit.ini. Restart Data Analysis and Qedit.
