  • What is Atmospheric Pressure Ionization (API)? - General LC/MS
Atmospheric Pressure Ionization is an Ionization technique. Formation of gaseous ions at atmospheric pressure is called API technology. The LC analyte is sprayed (Nebulized) in to a chamber in the presence of heated drying gas at atmospheric pressure .This disassociates the analyte molecules and generate ions.
