Can the 2100 Bioanalyzer (G2938A) Be Used With Actual Kits & Software?
The G2938A model was obsolete in October 2001, followed by G2938B, obsolete in March 2004. Both can handle all electrophoresis and cell assays. A models are slightly less sensitive than later models since the optics design was improved then. However, the performance and specifications are the same as for all other models. G2938A works with the 2100 expert software, except that the Security Pack is not supported. The A models will run out of support in 2008.
