KB005494: To analyse/compare profile data of different platforms for single experiment. GeneSpring GX. 

To compare the data from two technologies within a project, Translation feature could be used. This feature allows comparison of entity lists between experiments of different technologies.
Translation is performed using Entrez Gene ID. Please find the steps below to perform Translation:

1. Two experiments of different technologies should be open e.g., A1 (Source) & A 2(Target)
2. Experiment A2 should be active
3. Right click on the entity list to be translated in Experiment A1 -> Select 'Translate list' option
4. Please follow the ‘Translation Inspector’ Wizard.

The translated list from experiment A1 is now seen in the Project Navigator of active experiment A2.

Also, the ‘Venn diagram’ functionality could be used to automatically translate and combine the entity lists from two different technologies.
