To perform Pathway analysis steps like 'Find significant Pathways' and 'Extract Pathway from NLP', the user does not need a separate license/permission. Prior to this analysis one should download the interaction database for a specific organism the experiment belongs to. This would enable the user to perform all the pathway related analysis steps.
The interaction database could be updated from <GeneSpring GX10 menu bar> Annotations -> Update pathway Interactions -> From Agilent Server.
The interaction databases are of two types:
- Common Interaction Database
- Organism Specific Database
Common interaction database would have the entities and interactions which are common across all the organisms. This database would enable user to perform the find significant pathways analysis and the results could be viewed. To extract pathway from NLP, organism specific interaction database should be downloaded.
