  • Is there a comparable option in GX10 to the "Edit Genes and Annotations" function in GX7.3? Is there a way that I can import the annotation from a text file, based on Probe ID or Systematic Name?

While creating the custom technology, there should at least be one common annotation column between the sample data file and the annotation file. Custom technology can be created without providing an annotation file. But, in case you would like to update the custom technology using the annotation file, a matching column between the data file and annotation file (For example: Probe ID or Systematic Name) is required.

The technology could be updated using annotation file using the path below:

GeneSpring GX10 Menu bar  → Update annotations → From ‘file or Biological Genome’.
