Agilent Technologies has tested certain ODBC driver libraries for compatibility with ChemStore. The use of any other libraries risks the possibility of corrupting data that is in the database. Therefore, Agilent only recommends using the specifically supported MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) libraries suited for your specific version of ChemStore and Security Pack.
The most common cause of this warning is that the software gets installed on a newer operating system or service pack compared to the operating system version used for development. Older versions got also often affected if installation of new software (e.g. MS Office) replaced the supported MDAC version of the library. If the currently installed ODBC driver version is listed in the table below, you can safely acknowledge the warning and the application starts. If you like to suppress the warning, a check box allows you to suppress it from that time on.
For systems with ChemStore revision B.03.02 or earlier, you must modify the registry keys (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Hewlett-Packard > HP ChemStore CS > OdbcDriverAccess and OdbcDriverOracle) to the new revision numbers. This allows the software to start up successfully, but using an unsupported revision of ChemStore (see aslo ChemStore / Security Pack Revision History and compatibility)
The following table lists version of MS Access ODBC driver libraries that are supported with ChemStore B.04.0x and the version of operating system they come with:
