Agilent OpenLAB Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) takes your analytical lab to the next level of efficiency.

In an increasingly competitive environment, corporations must capitalize on scientific knowledge and discoveries faster and at reduced cost. Analytical chemistry is often one of the most time sensitive activities.

With OpenLAB ELN 4.1, you can capture, manage and share experimental information faster and easier than ever. Here are some of the exciting new features that can help your lab be more efficient and more productive:

Increased productivity

Scientists can create, share and re-use their own customized experiment views with NEW Experiment Templates, saving time and reducing vendor reliance.  New fields have been added to support sequences, molecules and other types including a dynamic table of fields.  Forms can quickly be created with drag and drop from a simplified user interface.  Fields, forms and experiment templates can all be organized into folders and favorites by project, group or discipline.

Design the experiment to look the way you want; create new tabs, forms and chapters. Simplify data entry for sample preparation

Some organizations estimate that manual submission of a sample analysis request costs 30 to 60 minutes per analysis performed. The manual process is disconnected, as the paper trail is slow and prone to being lost.
Now the Analytical Request Workflow has been enhanced reducing the number of steps from request to result

In addition, scientists can browse across series of requests and select samples directly for analysis.  A NEW Analytical module is available which is focused on the analytical chemist’s workflow expediting analysis report creation. Review across requested samples and techniques, select for analysis and capture experimental methods and results.

Enhanced collaboration

Often many analysts contribute analytical results from multiple techniques to a single sample or set of samples in an experiment.  With the NEW Delegation Workflow scientists can collaborate on a single experiment while maintaining audit trails and protecting IP.

As part of the OpenLAB portfolio of products, OpenLAB ELN seamlessly integrates with Agilent OpenLAB Enterprise Content Manager (ECM) to provide a robust, secure archive for all experimental details and results.  With OpenLAB ELN 4.1 the integration is enhanced provided data archiving capabilities directly from ELN and improved document management with ECM as the backend data store.

Unlock your lab’s potential

Agilent OpenLAB ELN is a scalable, integrated platform to capture, manage, and share experimental details and results.  It streamlines laboratory record-keeping, accelerates data search, and protects intellectual property.  OpenLAB ELN is flexible to adapt to the needs of very different users, including analytical chemists, synthetic chemists, and biologists.
