Re-Qualification (RQ) ensures that the qualified status of a complete system is restored after a given component has been repaired. RQ provides documented evidence that proper techniques and procedures are utilized after repairs. A lab's validation plan and change control program should define when it needs to qualify instruments and software to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Agilent recommends RQ after repairing a hardware component of the system.
