The HP-FFAP columns are designed primarily for the analysis of organic acids, free fatty acids, or samples that require quantitation of acidic impurities (FFAP). The stationary FFAP phase is modified with acid to provide a very inert column that can accommodate the demanding analysis of acids dissolved in water. Free fatty acids up to C24 can be analyzed by the HP-FFAP without costly and time consuming derivatization. The HP-FFAP does not require priming (several injections of acids) so accurate results can be obtained quickly.
