GS-Alumina columns are the most polar Alumina Phase. The GS-Alumina is comprised of Aluminum oxide with proprietary deactivation. The GS Alumina is an excellent general use column for light hydrocarbon analysis: C1 to C8 hydrocarbon isomers. Alumina columns have a tendency to adsorb water and CO2 which, over time, results in changes in retention time. J&W uses an advanced, proprietary deactivation process which allows for rapid regeneration. Fully saturated GS-Alumina columns fully regenerate in 7 hours or less at 200°C.
