Users log in by supplying an ID and, if configured, password. They then supply a small amount of sample information and select an analysis method or purification scheme from a list. The system will instruct them where in the autosampler or well-plate sampler to place the sample(s).
During operation, the main user interface displays overall system status plus:
- Current sample and/or fraction status
- Approximate time remaining in the queue
- The method currently running and name of last submitter
- The other samples in the queue including users, group, project ID, and study name
