Superior combinations of mass accuracy, mass resolution, and scan speed
Thanks to patented multipole, non-linear ion trap technology, the 6300 Series ion traps offer superior combinations of mass range, mass resolution, and scan speed.

*Total scan cycle times for the 6330 and 6340 are approximately 1/3 the scan cycle time of the 6320, allowing the 6330 and 6340 to perform 3X as many scans at the same nominal scan speed. In the 6340, ETD and ETD+CID operating modes increase scan cycle times slightly compared to CID-only operation.

Built-in reliability
Agilent's patented orthogonal nebulization (spray) ion source design has often been imitated but never equaled. Orthogonal spray orientation keeps the capillary and ion optics cleaner. The fixed-position nebulizer requires no adjustments for flow rate or solvent composition changes.
All 6300 Series ion traps include a high-capacity drying gas system that improves spectral quality, sensitivity, and reproducibility by reducing solvent clusters and mobile phase adducts. Drying gas flow and temperature can be adjusted to match flow rate and solvent composition changes.
Together, orthogonal spray and high-capacity drying gas make Agilent's ion sources highly tolerant of non-volatile components in samples and mobile phases.
