| RNA 6000 Pico Chip Kit |
|
Studying gene expression it becomes more and more apparent that it is useful to extract RNA from very small tissue samples so as to not mix up the RNA of a tissue of interest (e.g. cancer tissue) with the RNA of the surrounding tissue. Although the tools are now available to extract individual cells and to isolate RNA from these cells, there have been so far no convenient methods to verify successful RNA isolation and the intactness of the RNA samples. The RNA 6000 Pico kit is now closing this gap allowing determination of integrity of very low amounts of RNA as well as an estimation of the amount of the isolated RNA.
- Automated quality control of both total and messenger RNA (mRNA) samples.
- Complements the RNA 6000 Nano Chip kit, covering the same sample range, but providing about a 25-fold increase in sensitivity.
- RNA from microdissection, needle biopsy or first strand cDNA can be checked for sample integrity.
- Highly beneficial in the analysis of microdissected samples for the comparison of gene expression in neighboring tissues, such as is used in cancer research.
- Analysis of as little as 200 picograms of total RNA or 500 picograms of mRNA.
- Allows researchers to verify the quality of their samples and to increase the success rate of their downstream experiments such as RT-PCR or microarray experiments
