The Agilent VWorks Automation Control software includes a comprehensive JavaScript engine and optional components designed to allow customer developers to develop, configure, and test drivers or application programming interface (API) without using Automation Solutions Professional Services.

To get more detailed ordering information including prices and availability, contact Automation Solutions (in the U.S. and Canada, call 1.866.428.9811) or Request a Quote.

Java Script Engine

The VWorks software includes a JavaScript engine that allows you to customize the software to change the existing task parameters and skip or repeat a task if certain conditions are met.  The Task parameters can change dynamically during a run based on conditions such as the information passed from an external source, the number of times the protocol has cycled, and feedback on changing conditions or data values during the run.

VWorks Watcher

The VWorks Watcher is an optional feature that automates the processing of designated files using JavaScript.  Watcher monitors a designated folder for new file activity, and when new files appears, watcher runs a specified JavaScript to process the file.

VWorks Device Driver Interface

The VWorks Device Driver Interface is an optional component that allows you to easily write drivers for instruments and devices that are not standard offers. (Note: Automation Solutions Professional Services will also write custom drivers for customers).

VWorks Hooks Interface

The VWorks Hooks Interface is an optional component that allows customer developers to create various “hooks” into the VWorks software to enable interfacing with external applications. The Hooks Interface enables LIMS integrations, remote management, workflow management, and building applications on top of the VWorks software and using the VWorks software as “middleware.”
