BioCel Influenza Genotyping

Researchers at Los Alamos national Laboratories, UCLA, and Agilent's Automation Solutions designed and built the BioCel System for rapid characterization of pathogens, for example, the Influenza A (H1N1) virus.

The new system can sequence 10,000 or more influenza viruses per year and double shift and multiply throughput in pandemic mode (limit number of sequenced genes).

The automatic genetic sequencing of viruses can process a large number of samples, more efficiently, rapidly and reliably. Faster viral strain identification provides more time for implementation of mitigation and containment strategies.
