Description:

The class will feature hands-on experience analyzing microarray data within the new version, GeneSpring GX 10. Level I will begin with an overview of the GX 10 interface and terminology. Students will then learn how to setup experiments in GX 10 with diverse array data platforms, such as Agilent, Affymetrix and Illumina. Additional topics include experiment-specific normalizations and the selection of appropriate sample-level and feature-level quality control tools.
