Description:

This 4 day, hands-on course will give analysts the experience to develop MRM methods using the Agilent Triple Quadrupole GC/MS.  The topics include a complete look at data acquisition and scan types, MassHunter Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis software packages, reporting and routine maintenance of the instrument.

Basic Qualitative Analysis
            • Laboratory – Basic Qualitative Analysis features
Qualitative Analysis Methods
            • Laboratory – Automate qualitative analysis
Advanced Qualitative Analysis – Library Searching, Find Compounds, Deconvolution.
            • Laboratory – Add deconvolution and library searching to your data analysis methods
Basic Quantitative Analysis
            • Laboratory – Develop a quantification method and analyze the batch
Advanced Quantitative Analysis
            • Laboratory – Manipulate the batch analysis
Sequencing
Method Development II – Optimization and the Optimization Assistant
            • Laboratory – Perform product ion scans and uses the Optimization Assistant and Quantitative
              Analysis software to optimize results
Method Development III – MRM Method
            • Laboratory – Perform MRM analysis and use the Optimization Assistant and Quantitative
              Analysis software to optimize results.
            • Laboratory – Develop an MRM Quantitative Analysis method and execute.
Reporting
            • Laboratory – Generate Qualitative and Quantitative Reports and customize a report template.
Maintenance
            • Laboratory – optional – source cleaning

Prerequisites:
1 month experience using the instrument and basic mass spectrometry and gas chromatography experience.  If you have no GC or MS experience, please take H4040A before attending this course.
Equipment: Agilent 7890 and Agilent 7000A QQQ GC/MS with Mass Hunter software. 
Student Profile: An Agilent 7000A QQQ GC/MS user who has responsibility for routine sample analysis.
