Description:

This course provides the user with laboratory exercises on the operation and maintenance of the Agilent 1100/1200 Series Liquid Chromatograph equipped with a Diode Array controlled by the HPLC (3D) ChemStation.

Outline:

Day One: Introduction to Windows and the HPLC ChemStation; Elements of a Method; Qualitative Data Analysis
Day Two: Spectral Libraries; Agilent 1100/1200 Routine Maintenance
Day Three: Integration; Quantification; Basic Reporting
Day Four: Sequencing; Advanced Reporting; Styles - systems suitability, GLP, Library; Custom Reports

Prerequisites:

Techniques of Modern HPLC (H1186A) or equivalent.

Equipment:

Agilent 1100/1200 Series Liquid Chromatographs with HPLC (3D) ChemStation software.

Student Profile:

An analyst or chemist who has responsibility for operation and maintenance of the Agilent 1100/1200 with Diode Array for routine and non-routine samples. A fundamental understanding of liquid chromatography is expected.
