Description:	This course is designed for those who have the responsibility of preventive maintenance on the Agilent 5890A Series II Gas Chromatograph.
Outline:	Day One How to Use Reference Manuals Packed Inlet System Split/Splitless Inlet System Inlet Maintenance and Troubleshooting Day Two Flame Ionization Detector Thermal Conductivity Detector FID and TCD Maintenance and Troubleshooting Day Three Performance Verification Power-On Self Test & Diagnostics Electronics: Fatal Errors, Faults, & Warnings Day Four Automatic Liquid Sampler Debugging Exercises
Prerequisites:	Techniques of Gas Chromatography (H4002A) or at least six months experience with the operation of the Agilent 5890.
Equipment:	Agilent 5890 Series II Gas Chromatograph with Packed Inlet & Split/Splitless Inlets, Flame Ionization & Thermal Conductivity Detectors, Agilent 3396 Series II Integrator, Agilent 7673B Autosampler
Student Profile:	Someone with a fundamental knowledge of GC who has the responsibility of troubleshooting and maintaining an Agilent 5890 GC. This person may be someone primarily involved in the repair of rather than daily operation of the instrument.
