Description:	This course is designed for those who want to learn the routine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance procedures for the 5973 or 5975 GC-MSD.
Outline:	Day One Introduction to GC-MSD Troubleshooting & Maintenance Tunes & Diagnostics Lab Exercise: Benchmark Performance Tests 6890 GC Considerations Lab Exercise: 6890 GC Maintenance Day Two MSD Vacuum System Lab Exercise: MSD Vacuum System Maintenance MSD Ion Source Lab Exercise: MSD Ion Source Maintenance MSD Quadrupole Mass Filter MSD Detector Lab Exercise: MSD Mass Filter And Detector Maintenance Day Three Lab Exercise: Miscellaneous Maintenance Lab Exercise: Bug Lab
Prerequisites:	Fundamental knowledge of GC-MS and 3-6 months operation experience with the 5973 or 5975 GC-MSD.
Equipment:	Agilent 6890-5973/5975 using Agilent MS ChemStation.Note:H5973A systems are used for the Canada courses.
Student Profile:	A user of the Agilent 5973/5975 GC-MSD who has a fundamental knowledge of gas chromatography and mass spectrometry and who is responsible for routine mainteneace of the instrumentation. This is not service level training.
