This CD contains the Agilent G2887BA SimDis software that enables the use of gas chromatography to
perform the following ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) test
methods for petroleum products:
- D2887
- D7213
- D7169
- D6352
Installation
1. Before installing the SimDis software:
Agilent G2070BA ChemStation software (revision B.03.02 or greater) as described in its documentation, must be
installed on your computer. To purchase this
software or to upgrade, please call 1-800-227-9770 in the U.S. or Canada or contact your local
Agilent sales office or authorized distributor.

2. Install the Agilent G2887BA SimDis software.
Insert the CD-ROM in your PC. An instruction screen will appear. Click the link in step 2 under Installation.
If the instruction screen does not appear, access the CD-ROM drive and click setup.exe in the Software directory.
Step through the install process and click Finish when done. You will see the licensing window at right.
Close this window and re-start the software by double-clicking the icon on your desktop.
You will have 30 calendar days from the time of installation to use the software.
Click the Licensing tab to see how much time remains in your evaluation period.
Note that in automated operation with ChemStation, printing of reports is not allowed in an unlicensed
(evaluation) installation.

| Tutorial Data Files
Data files representing blank, calibration, and sample runs are
available on the CD. These can be used as an alternative to running real samples to gain familiarity with
the software. |

GC Hardware Configuration
To obtain valid results for simulated distillation, appropriate GC hardware configurations are
required. See the SimDis reference manual and HT PTV guide found on the CD.
