ZORBAX Bonus-RP

Agilent ZORBAX Bonus-RP columns provide unique selectivity and applicability for mid pHs with its embedded amide linkage in a C14-alkyl chain. At pH 7, Bonus-RP provides excellent peak shape even for the most challenging basic compounds..  Bonus-RP is protected from hydrolysis at low pH using the same sterically protecting bulky side chains as StableBond, and also is triple-endcapped to minimize silanol interactions and improve stability at mid-pH. Bonus-RP can be used with 100% aqueous mobile phase.

StableBond phases were developed for use with acidic mobile phases for robust, reproducible results at low pH. StableBond offers two additional tools to improve resolution: a variety of stable bonded phase chemistries and expanded temperature ranges. Manufactured from ultrapure strong ZORBAX RX-SIL particles, StableBond columns are ideal for separating acidic, neutral and basic compounds at low pH. Unique monofunctional silanes with bulky diisobutyl (C18) or diisopropyl (with C8, C3, phenyl, CN) side-chain groups sterically protect the siloxane bond from hydrolytic attack at low pH. The result is improved resolution, high column-to-column reproducibility, long column life and superb chromatography.

Eclipse XDB columns feature eXtra Dense Bonding, a combination of dense monolayer bonding coupled with proprietary double endcapping on robust, high purity ZORBAX Rx-SIL porous silica microspheres. ZORBAX Rx

ZORBAX Rx columns are used to analyze basic compounds at low pH. Based on ultrapure ZORBAX Rx silica microspheres, Rx columns yield excellent peak symmetry and reduce peak tailing for polar basic compounds. ZORBAX Rx-C18 columns are made with a monofunctional dimethyloctadecyl silane, giving a higher carbon load than StableBond C18 columns (12% vs. 10%). Rx-C8 is equivalent to StableBond C8.

ZORBAX CombiHT

CombiHT columns are packed with 5 micron particles in short lengths (21.2 x 50, 21.2 x 100 and 21.2 x 150 mm), providing rapid separations in the 15-50 mg range. Separations on the 50 mm column are often less than 10 minutes. Unique hardware providing finger-tight connections up to 7,000 psi are used for CombiHT columns. End-fittings are reusable and only the column barrel is replaced. Columns are available with StableBond C18 and C8, and Eclipse XDB C18 and C8 packings, providing low bleed and extended column lifetime in the low pH and mid-range pH respectively. .

ZORBAX Extend-C18

Agilent ZORBAX Extend-C18 columns are the newest additions to our product porfolio, and incorporate a unique patented bidentate silane, combined with a double endcapping process to protect the silica from hydrolysis at high pH - up to pH 11.5. Extend-C18 columns are best applied for separation of compounds that are: (1) basic and have little or no retention at low or middle pHs, (2) more stalbe or soluble at high pH, or (3) basic and show poor peak shape at low or intermediate pH. Extend columns are excellent for separating basic compounds in their free base form and peptides with a clean LC/MS signal.

Hypersil

Hypersil BDS is both base deactivated and endcapped to improve peak shapes of basic solutes by minimizing interaction with unreacted silanols. Hypersil ODS, a very popular packing, adds a monolayer of octadecyl silane (C18) to the Hypersil Silica support. The columns are endcapped to reduce silanol interaction. For less retention with similar selectivity, Hypersil MOS columns provide a monolayer of dimethyloctylsilane (C8 alkyl chain).

Agilent's Hypersil columns are offered in standard compression fitting columns and in Agilent's convenient and economical cartridge design.

LiChrosorb

LiChrosorb is a widely used silica packing material manufactured by E. Merck. The irregularly shaped porous silica particles are made by grinding and sifting coarse silica particles into narrow particle size ranges.
