Content This set provides all firmware files for all Agilent 1100/1200 series modules
  • A.06.02/06 (for 1100/1200 modules without on-board LAN)
  • B.01.02/06 (for 1100/1200 modules with on-board LAN)
  • B.02.0x (for G4208A Instant Pilot) - for latest version see later release set
  • B.04.02 (for G1323B Control Module)

and corresponding documents (revision information and compatibility matrices).

The A.06.02 firmware release has been introduced with the introduction of the Agilent 1200 series in March 2006. It allows to upgrade existing 1100 series modules with firmware revision A.06.01 and below when working with the the new 1200 series.

Upgrade ALL existing 1100 modules to A.06.02/03 only if

  • a new 1200 module is added to the existing system (recommended)
  • one of the existing modules requires an upgrade due to a bug fix solved with A.06.02/03.
Read the document FWUpdate very carefully for updating to revision A.06.02 and above or downgrading to previous revisions ("1100 emulation mode").

Use only LAN/RS-232 FW Update Tool 2.6 [003] or above for firmware upgrades/downgrades (see document FWUpdate).

COMPATIBILITY ISSUES:
This firmware has been introduced with the Agilent 1200 series of HPLC modules.

Refer to the compatibility matrix documents included (especially for the firmware for the new modules G1315D, G1365D and G1329B).

  • Firmware A.06.02/06 and B.01.0x and B.02.01 is NOT compatible with ALL previous revisions (A.06.01 and below)!
  • NO mixed systems are allowed, since they do not communicate with each other.
  • ALL modules in a system must be upgraded to A.06.02/05 PRIOR to be connected to modules with firmware A.06.02 and above.
  • Firmware A.06.02/03 is released and tested with
    • ChemStation B.02.01
    • ChemStation B.01.03 SR 1
    • Cerity A.02.2 SR2
    • Cerity A.02.03 SR1
    • Cerity A.02.03 SR2
    • EZChrom 3.1.7
    • Handheld Control Module B.04.02
    • Instant Pilot B.01.02/03
  • Firmware A.06.02/03/04/05 runs also on Agilent ChemStations B.01.03 and A.10.02 (except for the new features)
  • Control Module G1323B with firmware B.03.22 is not compatible with A.06.0x and G1315C DAD SL or G1365C MWD SL or G4240 Chip Cube. Upgrade your G1323B to new firmware release B.04.02.
  • Using the new G1323B release (B.04.02) with firmware A.05.11 and below may show incompatibilities. Therefore we recommend to install the B.04.02 only on those G1323B that are connected to systems with A.06.01 and above.
